AfterCare
Guide

Everything you need to protect your tattoo and piercing while it heals cleanly, comfortably and beautifully.

Good aftercare keeps your art sharp

Fresh tattoos and piercings are open healing work. The result depends on how cleanly you care for them, how much friction you avoid, and whether you follow the timeline shared by your artist or piercer.

Use this guide as a practical reference, and always follow the specific instructions given during your appointment.

Fresh Tattoo Care

Keep it clean, keep it calm, and do not rush the healing process.

01

Keep the wrap on

Leave the first wrap on for the time advised by your artist. Do not remove it early in public or dusty spaces.

02

Wash with clean hands

Gently wash the tattoo with mild fragrance-free soap and clean water. Pat dry with a fresh paper towel.

03

Moisturize lightly

Apply a thin layer of recommended aftercare balm. Too much product can block the skin and slow healing.

04

Let it breathe

Wear loose clothing and avoid friction. Your tattoo needs clean air, patience and gentle care.

Clean healing for piercings

Piercings heal from the outside and inside at different speeds. Be patient, avoid pressure, and never change jewellery too early.

Do not twist jewellery

Avoid rotating, pulling or playing with jewellery. Movement irritates the channel and can delay healing.

Clean gently

Use sterile saline or the cleaning method recommended by your piercer. Keep soaps, perfumes and makeup away.

Avoid pressure

Do not sleep on fresh ear piercings or wear tight clothing over body piercings. Pressure causes swelling and bumps.

Downsize on time

Some piercings need jewellery downsizing after swelling reduces. Visit the studio before changing jewellery yourself.

Aftercare FAQs

Can I shower after a tattoo or piercing?

What if my tattoo starts peeling?

Peeling is normal. Do not pick or scratch. Keep the skin lightly moisturized and let flakes fall naturally.

What if my piercing has crust?

Light crusting can be normal. Soften it with sterile saline and clean gently. Do not force it off with nails.
